Hi Bren

I can certainly sympathize with you. Im almost 4 weeks out and Im having chills, chest pain and terrible anxiety. I called my dr and she said I was having panic attacks and prescribed something for it. I have felt better since then. I dont know if that is your situation but I would call my dr if I were you and see what he/she can do to help. Hope you feel better soon

YES. I had it even before my surgery, mine was due to low hormones, I could only take hot baths to warm up I got cold to the bone at times. I had heart pounding waking me up at night! SO ITS NOT only stress, it was happening while I was sleeping for pete sakes! I have my antivan right at my bed side and take one or a half of one depends on how I feel, I dont have to use them as much now that I am taking low dose HRT, I am not 100% for sure I am not sure what mixture of this or that will help will I EVER be the same? YOUR ovaries may have not kicked in yet, hang in there and realize yes, I thought I was having a heart attack more then once BUT I had my sister go through all of this before me so she would tell me it happens, thank GOD I found this site before my surgery, or I would be a mess she never had to have to have a hyster. TAKE TEN LONG DEEP BREATHS and check out some natural rescue remedy if you dont want to take ativan or xanax. Also I have always been so high strung so its hard for me to medatation but when I master it OH ITS WONDERFUL, try it too. GOOD LUCK..

My doc gave me some mild sedatives too. It's very common. I take 5mg of Valium in the am and same at night. It helps to take the edge off and she told me to keep a few in my purse so that if I'm out and I feel really anxious to take one(with someone else driving) Lots of women go on anti depressants and anti anxiety meds when surgical menopause hits. It doesn't mean you're on them forever, just until things settle. Talk to your GP or GYN, whoever is handling most of your aftercare. It doesn't just make you feel better, but it helps with healing. A tense, anxiety ridden body doesn't heal as fast a calmer one. Good Luck and take nice slow, long and deep breaths

Bren, no I had it all taken out, my ovaries were ridden with cysts, one was the size of a baseball, it had overtaken my right ovary, and believe it or not no one knew it until my surgeon went in, but she was going to take them all anyway per my request I wanted a photo of my departed parts, I did have it on my photos for a while but then I decided to just send it to those how ask LOL, I now have a photo of my NEW UTTIE, a wonderful sister knitted me a new uttie, her note was here is your new uttie with NO ISSUES!! BLESS HER!!

I take the lowest dose generic Estratest HS since its a mixture of Testostrone and Estronen I dont know the dose of each, and I cant seem to find them either I did make sure I was taking the lowest dose, its been about a year since I have been taking them, I did try the patches but the area where I put it got all red and puffy, so I switched to Permerian, that made me stink to high heaven!! My sister was taking the gerneric Estratest HS so I asked my GYNO for some to try. I also started having bladder issues so I read some estrogeon cream can help keep that entire area healthy if you are not getting enough from your oral HRT to that area, you need to keep that area moist and healthy. OMG so much to learn so many trials to go down, its been a year and a half and I am not doing so well STILL!! I think I am turning into a CAT, I have 3 so I know them well, eat and sleep, thats it. LOL

GOOD LUCK !!! Are you taking any HRT?

THING is, I knew there was something there for 2 years it was I bet getting bigger and bigger. It started pressing on my bladder causing me to leak when I sneezed and also my uttie got SO BIG!! EVEN with my every 3 month ultra sound NO ONE SAW that HUGE CYST!!

Per my request to my DR. I wanted a photo of my departed parts, I did have it here on "my photos" for a while but then I decided to just send it to those how ask LOL, I now have a photo of my NEW UTTIE, a wonderful hystersister knitted me a new pink uttie, her note in the box was here is your new uttie with NO ISSUES!! no I am not on any HRT as of yet....my ovaries were left intact so I am still hoping they will balance themselves out somehow....I had bloodtest done which said everything was fine but apparently that changes day to day...the only thing not tested was progesterone which I think may be part of my problem has I always produced high estrogen and was always on progesterone based birth control....its just all so overwhelming!!! I never expected to have any of these issues and was never informed that I would...I have been started on Ativan lately but feel like I am copping out some how by taking it also I am worried about addiction....grrrr how long can I expect this to go on for?

I was so scared of getting addicted to ativan too, but its better than the days I am have the heart chest pains and anxiety happening, I do try meditation and do the treadmill both I dont do enough.... its too easy to pop a pill or a half a pill to take care if it you know? My bad.. I need to get my HRT settled. I was told not to use progesterone because I no longer have my uterus and progesterone is still made a little in other glands.. so you wont need it, but I decided to get a tiny bit like a pea size on my wrists a few times a week anyway to see if it helps. Oh well, we have to keep tweaking it to make it work.. GOOD LUCK HUGS

I have been having chest pain and palipations along with being cold quite a bit. I am on Viverlle .05 mg dot patch. I had a TAH and they took my ovaries, uterus, tubes and cervix. I haven't talked to the doctor about it because I thought it was just me. Thank you so much for sharing this I will call my doctor and see what can be done.
