3wks out & concerned...
I have had no rest but I am not complaning, my husband and family have really tried their best but unfortunatly our 4 yr old has lung disease and ended up in the hospital when I was less then 2 weeks out. She will only allow me to stay with her and frankly you couldn't pry me away from her bed. We just came home yesterday (x-mas in the hospital) but I wanted to know what some signs of stitching tearing and such are. I had to be moving her and picking her up at points durning this stay and I was resting as much as possible but alas, she's still 34 lbs and I just had to be there for her.
I feel good for the most part with the exception of sleeping. i wake up feeling pain and pressure around the incision area. I spotted a little bit while at the hospital with her but it stopped the next day and hasn't returned. I know how important it is that even if you feel well to rest but what signs do I need to be aware of. I missed my 3 week post op and doc didn't have another avaliable until the 10th but *sigh* my little ones has to report back to the hospital for surgery and a stay in the PICU for a week so won't be making that one either.
Thank you guys, I had just found all of you right before we went in and now I am so thankful I did.

North Star you have certainly been through it. My thoughts and prayers are with you for your own healing and that of your childs. It has been a traumatic time for you. Now you must attend to your needs go to see your doctor without delay. It will be difficult not to lift your child is there someone else who can do it? Your doctor will check you out to make sure you are healing properly. I hope it all goes well.

Thanks Bagpuss45. When I talked with the receptionist at my docs office she told me that they have no appointments until mine later in January. On Monday I am going to call and ask to leave her a message an see if i can't get her to double book me this coming week, I'll wait in the office if I have to.
I think that I hae already done to much, I startred bleeding late last night and I haven't bleed at all this past 3 weeks with the exception of spotting a few nights ago.

North_star--
Did you have them ask your doc to fit you in?... considering your circumstances they should be more thoughtful and the doc could squeeze in a last minute appt. Tell them your story and that you may have overdid, which is quite understandable in your situation (you did just what you had to do), and now you are concerned.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family-----------
