6 weeks post-op, not healed

So, I had my 6 week post-op today & I still have a ton of stitches internally that aren't healed yet. So I'm still on limited activity for another 3 weeks! I'm 33 yrs old, in great shape, eat clean & am super healthy... I have 4yr old twins and just want to be their mother again.

Any reason as to why I maybe not healing? Am I maybe over doing it? I'm just so bummed.

Re: 6 weeks post-op, not healed

Your body just needs time to heal. I wasn't released to "light duty" until this past Monday, my internal stitches haven't dissolved yet either. Just takes time. Dr said realistically 8-10 weeks to get back to basics, 12 to feel good, 6 months to feel great 1 yr to be fully recovered (as long as you have no set backs). Be kind to yourself!

Re: 6 weeks post-op, not healed

You can be the healthiest most in shape person on the planet and your body will still need time to heal. I was just released and considered healed last week! You'll get there, I promise! Shoot, at 6 weeks I was still having massive infections and laying around all day.
