5 1/2 weeks - rashes on feet & legs

Has anyone developed itchy rashes in weird areas? The top of one foot & back of leg plus top of one hand have itchy rashes. Ive tried benedryl cream & gel with no relief. Haven't taken prescription pain meds for over 3 weeks.

Looking Up -

Sorry to hear you are experiencing some rashes.

I know some women have had rashes due to allergic reactions to bandages or medications.

It might be worth a call to your Dr. in case he / she wants to put you on some antibiotics.

Thank you for your reply. I'll talk with dr when I'm there on Thursday. The itching only comes at night & is fierce! Treating with cortisone cream during day & benedryl at night (so I can sleep).

Re: 5 1/2 weeks - rashes on feet & legs

It is very easy to have allergic reactions to bandages or medications. Are you allergic to Latex? Only reason I asked is that sometimes the hospitals forget and use Latex and also bandages can sometimes contain it. I am really allergic to it now and they used latex gloves-by mistake- as well as on a bandage. I ended up with hives all over. And boy did it itch. Benadryl pills usually help me. I just made sure I didn't have to drive and took two. I would definitely talk to your doc.
