8 days post hysterectomy.. constant pulling aches in pelvic area

I had a hysterectomy (laproscopic) 8 days ago. Removed uterus, cervix and tubes. Left my ovaries in tact.
All day I have had a constant deep intense pulling down feeling in my pelvic area. Is this normal part of recovery??? Offices are closed for holidays. I haven't lifted or driven but I'm sure I've been over doing it. Should this pass with some rest or should I be getting it checked? Anyone who experienced this and can share some info would be greatly appreciated.

It's pressure and inflammation from a swollen vaginal cuff and a very clear sign that you are doing TOO much.

Get off your feet. Rest. Ibuprofen or Aleve to help with the inflammation, ice on your belly AND in your underwear - a water soaked, frozen maxi pad works well, heat on your back.

Delaying your healing? Not worth it! Rest!

Okay thank you. I will try ice packs and take some pain meds and go to bed. I'm just so worried it's more than that. I hate all these unknown feelings

Do you have a fever? Heavy bloody discharge? If the answers are no, it's totally within the normal range and just a signal to rest.

Re: 8 days post hysterectomy.. constant pulling aches in pelvic area

I just left ER after experiencing really bad lower pelvic pain while urinating and having BM. Had catscan no bowel injuries...PTL but have fluid retention in lower pelvic region that is irritating bladder and lower bowel. No infection but it is painful. Anyone else experience this?
