Suctures

I was just wondering....When I went for my last post op check up at 17 days, the had mentioned that I could notice "ants in my pants" and not to worry they were just the suctures falling out. Didnt think much of it, but got a little chuckle. Anyways,,,I was wondering, because as we all know we never think to ask at the time,,,about when do you begin to see them?

hehe,,you mean 6 weeks? And have you had your 6 week ck up yet, did the doctor say they were still there?

I'm around 10 weeks post and never saw any

I have seen 1 purple suture which I think was just some extra that got left in there after being clipped or something because it didn't look like it had been knotted or anything. Just to make sure I emailed my doc and asked him what color my sutures were and he confirmed purple. That's the only one I have seen and I am 4.5 weeks post op. It was a pretty purple though lol

well I had my TAH june 30th and when I went to my 6 week the dr said all my vaginal cuff stitches were already gone excep 1 nver seen anyof then come out and I dilegently checked the TP every time i wnet potty ... as for the abdominal stitches i can still fell most of them under my skin Im pretty this so i can even see a few bulges under the skin where they are tied off its really weird and tender I have been wondering myself when those are going to disolve
