Re: What to bring to the castle

Hi, I packed a lot and used none of it. I was in a hospital gown the whole time (that worked well, I had a drain, catheter, epidural, and IV and I would have ruined my normal clothes due to some minor problems)

I wore workout clothes to the hospital - T and workout pants which I just wore home. I had a pillow pet for the ride home.

I packed a toothbrush and toothpaste, but they had that for me so I didn't use mine. I had lip balm which i didn't use.

I left all electronics at home so that I couldn't risk theft.

I packed some panty liners, but I didn't need them. There was more that I packed and never used. lol

I found it more valuable to get the house prepped for coming home. I put food on a level I could reach, pulled out clothes and stored them out on the dresser, made sure I had TP out and stacked near the toilet so I didn't have to open drawers.

I bought a grabber which was the best tool. I had no idea just how much I drop on the floor! lol And it came in handy sometimes when dressing.

Good luck!

Re: What to bring to the castle

I had my hysterectomy almost 6 weeks ago and was only in the hospital overnight. The only stuff I used that I brought with me were my robe, socks, undies, tshirt, pj pants, hair brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and a pad/pantyliner for spotting. The pads I brought were so much thinner and more comfortable than the bulky hospital ones that are enormously long!

I stayed in the hospital gown until a few hours before I went home because of the catheter and iv. I probably could have bugged the nurses to help me and unhook me long enough to change, but I didn't want to be a bother.
