5 week post op

Hi all
I was really happy after my post op yesterday. all is good except for a small hematoma (sp) that is just above my vaginal cuff. The doc said that once I get the spot drained everything will be right as rain Doc said he was really surprised on how well I was healing, but I attribute that to the vitamin C he put me on just before my surgery. The doc did say there was one surprise with my surgery, he said that the fibroid the thought was attached to my cervix was actually not . it was attached to my vaginal wall.... but no harm no foul, just weird. He said in the 15 years he has been doing hysters he has never seen one like that. Any way all is good. I want to let any pre-op sisters know that vitamin C works wonders. I normally heal very........ slowly and bruise a lot( borderline anemic, and I can't take iron) but since I have been taking the C things are much better..
Hope that everyone has a great recovery and happy holidays

5 week post op

I am 4 weeks post op with complications due to an infection. I saw the wound specialist today and they are very pleased with how well I am healing. They okayed getting the wound wet in the shower (finally!) and they are going to let the visiting nurses teach me how to do my wound care myself so they do not have to come out daily any longer.
