Bleeding 4 weeks post-op

Ok ladies, i am about to go crazy here. I am bleeding, is that normal? I had Supracervical Hysterectomy on Aug 17, I woke up Saturday morning bleeding in goes from light red to dark brown, it will stop then start back up. I just called my gyn and she wants me to come in tomorrow. I thought i was doing everything right. I wonder why this is happening to me....HELP!!!!

Hi, I had a TAH on August 9th. Had no bleeding or discharge for first 3 weeks post op then one day I started with spotting and almost a light period. Scared me, so I contacted my doctor and I went in for appt. He checked my stitches and all was ok. Said the blood was dark (wine color) which meant it was old blood. Said sometimes blood collects in the pelvis after surgery and has to work its way out. And being that I have a vaginal cuff, and the stitches were not tight from healing yet, it was passing thru. It caused me to have cramps and discomfort, but after the blood would pass I would feel relief. And that is exactly what he told me it would feel like. Boy was I relieved to know I had not ripped a stitch or something. Also I was told prior to my surgery that sometimes when you keep your cervix you get mini periods? I had mt TH Au 10 th and I had the same thing happen too. I called the Dr. and everything checked ok. It was also dark brown and I learned not to dispose of the panty liners too quick!
Go to the Dr. to double check and relax.

Thanks, glad to know that i am not the only one this is going through this. I am a single parent with no help so I am pretty much doing a lot of things that is not required to do during recovery. I had no help with my 5 yr old twins. I am praying that I did not pull or do anything internaly wrong.
