Bleeding post op,13 days

I had my surgery Oct 11 and started driving ten days later. Walked on treadmill the next day. This was not a good idea, I started spotting and now I'm nervous about doing anything. I need to drive short distances to take children to school but am afraid to do much else.
I would appreciate any advice.

Miss Biance I also drove, but it was only to the top of the hill. I drove about 5 miles 14 days after. My doctor told me that bleeding was normal as long as it wasn't like a period. However you should call the doctor.

Re: Bleeding post op,13 days

I was about to post a new question related to this. I had a Davinci hysterectomy on 9-20-11 and had no discharge or bleeding. Went to my post-op on 10-19-11 where doctor released me to gradually work in activity (restart exercise slowly, no lifting restrictions). I go back to retail work on 11-4-11. Yesterday I vacuumed for the first time and this morning I have bright blood (but not a huge amount) I have no cervix and only one ovary remains. Is this normal?? Thanks for any info!!

Re: Bleeding post op,13 days

I had a Laparoscopic Assisted Hysterectomy. I actually have vacuumed several times and have had no problem. He did tell me at my last visit my stitches are still there so just remember that in doing my day to day things. Don't over due it and if I felt any pulling, burning etc to stop what i was doing. I think you should call the dr just to let him/her know what has happened. It could be nothing, but better safe than sorry. I hope your return to work goes well!
