6 week post op

I have an appointment for my 6 week post op tomorrow. I am very nervous about the internal exam. I have a very low tolerance for pain... hope it will not hurt!

I felt the same way so thought I would tell you that I worried way too much. Exam was quick and in my case, much less painful than those I was getting pre-op. Good luck!

Mine six week check up was last Friday. Didn't hurt at all, got the all clear for work and intercourse so was really happy I healed up completely! Good luck tomorrow and don't worry.

Mine is tomorrow and I'm worried about it as well. My pelvic exams hurt something AWFUL before (because of the fibroids) so maybe it won't be so bad...? I don't know but I'm definitely scared, though I'm hopeful for a clean bill of health!!

I was very surprised when my 6 week internal exam did not hurt AT ALL. It was quite a change from pre-surgery, when they were pretty uncomfortable (due to prolapse).

Hope it goes well and you get the A-OK to resume your normal activities!

The exam went fine! The worry was all in my mind. She was gentle, slow, and explained everything she was doing. I felt a little "pressure"... but not pain. I'm healing well, but still have a couple stitches left. She wants me to still take it easy and no sex for six more weeks. I'm 63; guess my body does not bounce back that quickly. But I am very happy with my progress. ...and I feel GREAT!!!
