LIW wanting experiences from TLH

My doctor says that I'm a good candidate for a TLH (only removing uterus and cervix). I only have three weeks paid leave from work and she said that she thinks I should be back at work anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 weeks post-op and back to my normal routine after 4 weeks post-op. I have a sedentary job (receptionist/legal secretary/accounting clerk) but I have an 18 1/2 mo old at home. Dr said I should be able to lift her after 4 weeks.

Does this sound about right for any ladies who've had a TLH? I don't have much info from my dr as my surgery was scheduled but now cancelled (I need a LEEP before my hyst). Just looking for experiences. I don't want to push myself too hard, but I can't go unpaid for too long. 6 weeks at the most.

5/19/05 - LEEP, hyst to be scheduled after results rec'd -- adenomyosis, endo, cervical dysplasia, uterine fibroids

Going back to work at 4-6 weeks is doable, however lifting your child at 4-6 weeks will not be. Good luck.
