Hi Jess,

I was so nervous too. Right up until I checked in at the castle. Once I changed into their lovely princess gown, I started to relax. Within 30 minutes of being there I got a shot of something to help me relax and the next thing I know, I'm in the recovery room.
The ladies on here that say the waiting is the hardest part are 100% right. Try to keep your mind elsewhere {I know, easier said than done!} and it WILL be over before you know it. Good luck on your surgery and let us know when you get home.

You sound normal to me. I was nervous right up to the morning of my surgery. Then I was surprisingly calm. I hope that you can be too.

Good luck with your pre op , mine was actually pretty easy - a long day with a lot of waiting but not bad at all.

Hey Jess,

I always found comfort here, because everyone was "in the moment" together. Sisters that were ahead of me assured me that waiting was the worst part, and they were right. I also found out that the things I worried the most about were a piece of cake when I passed it. Some things will be difficult, but you will make it and when you look back you will say...wow I AM a strong woman!

I hope you find the peace you need to walk boldly toward your new life and new found health.

Sending you positive thoughts from the sunny south

I also remember being pretty scared the day before my surgery. However by the morning of my surgery, I was calm and ready. I think I was more nervous about making sure I had everything ready!!!

Our Post Op forum is ready to help you through your recovery. Be sure and drop in there when you get home and get acquainted!!!

Of course, do drop us a quick post to let us know how you are doing before moving on as a

Kay

My nerves hit rock bottom yesterday-I was a mess. Today I am calm and relaxed-I am sure a lot of that has to do with wonderful massage and then a pedicure! I am getting ready to have my "cocktail" and still feel pretty calm. It is here. The waiting is all but over. I still have to pack and change some songs on my MP3 but other than that pretty ready. Decided NO HOUSEWORK today! Ok, I will fold the towels & wash & put away my work clothes (dont want the boys messing them up). Hopefully as you are going in I will be coming out and we can chat on the otherside!
Hugs
