Anyone feel worse 3 weeks out than 2?

Does anyone else feel worse after 3 weeks than you did after 2? I was feeling so good and moving around just fine. Now I am moving so much slower and am feeling more pain. Have I overdone it? Or do you think it's because I have cut way back on pain medication?? I'm not in extrememe pain or anything, but after week 2 I was walking like I never had surgery. Now when I walk, other people can tell!!! Any thoughts?

I feel exactly the same way! I cant really explain it except maybe you felt so blecchy right after surgery that in comparison the 2nd week was a breeze. Or maybe after the pain meds finally get out of your system...or maybe, we want to be better so badly, we focus more on the pain. I have no idea...but I have been trying to warn people that feel GREAT the 2nd week to still take it easy. This week has hit me like a ton of bricks.
We will get through this, I know...but dear lord, it feels like forever!

This is actually quite common. For many women, week 3 is the worst week of the recovery.

Take heart, before you know it you will turn the corner to week 4 and begin to be bettar again.

Week 3 was definately worse than week 2 for me. It felt like the numbness of surgery had worn off and suddenly I could feel each and every little movement! It DOES start to get better though. But that 3rd week I expected to be a turning point for the better...instead that came more around weeks 4-5.

I have to agree....I am barely into my 3rd week, but have been more tired, walking less and had trouble with pink discharge that I NEVER had the 2 weeks previous. Go figure?! I am trying to enjoy my time in the bed by reading, crocheting and cross-stitching. (Could this be why I am tired???) DUH!!

Thanks for the warnings about week 3. At least I know what may be ahead and won't be totally dumbfounded.

I must say that week two was far worse for me. I am doing very well now. I started having a slight discharge like spoting from week 2 until today actually. I feel far better with week 3 than week 2. I know we just have to listen to our bodies and make sure we contiune to take it easy. Wishing all of you lovely ladies a speedy recovery! Don't know what I would have sone without you!!!!!

it's great to hear from you again! I missed you, hope things are going better for you now.
I'm just beginning my 3rd week and am experiencing a little more pain. I've been told this is the week stitches start to dissolve so maybe that's part of it. I'm planning on giving up my main floor bedroom tomorrow so hope I can manage the stairs. My dh is scared to death I'm moving too fast but I REALLY want to move on. My shower is up there and I'll feel sooo much cleaner! Right now I feel like a hunk of rotting meat, you know the incision and all.
I feel time moves faster in post-op than pre-op(it felt like an eternity!) At least the pain I have now is just surgery pain, can't wait to hear back from pathology though.

Hi vega, good to hear from u. I hope u are doing well. I was pretty good the first 2 weeks and then it was all down hill. I had to take my dh to the emergency room in week 2[ he's ok] and I had to drive and hang around the er for hours untill he was released and I felt ok. Maybe I overdid it then and it took me a few weeks to recover, but honestly I am just feeling better now at 7 weeks. Its a bummer, but at least its starting to happen that I am feeling better now. I feel like my summer is wasting away.....my dh and I have an rv and usually go camping a lot so being down has been awful. I never thought this hyst would be such an "event" in my life. I can't wait till this journey is over.
