4 months post op with left ovary pain??

Hello sister friends:

Just wondering if anyone could possibly relate to this?
I am almost 4 months post op from TVH. They kept my
ovaries. For about the last month, I keep having left ovary
pain, with pain in my left side around my waist going down
and pain in my left thigh. I also have back pain. I have been blaming my mattress I sleep on.

Could this be related to my hysterectomy or possibly something else. It is sometimes a shooting pain, and sometimes just a dull ache. I had a problem after surgery having left ovary pain. My said a stitch was healing slow and had to trim it. I never have pain on my right side (right ovary)

If anyone could relate to this or had this, I would appreciate just hearing your advice. If it continues, do I call my OB doctor or my regular doctor.

Thanks for your advice.

Re: 4 months post op with left ovary pain??

Hi! I'm about 4 mos post op as well and still dealing with some cramping and pain. Have you considered the possibility that your pain is related to your bladder? Since it's on the left side that could be the case. During the surgery the bladder is moved, jostled and abused! It can spasm and ache and hurt for months--at least that's what I was told. I alos have a diagnosis of interstitial cystitis. Before the hyst I was able to control the bladder pain thru meds and diet. After, though, I can't seem to get a handle on the left side pain even with meds and watching diet. If you continue to be in pain you should see your Dr--if you are concerend it's possiby related to the hyster than I would see the GYN. It was a GYN who realized my bladder issues in the first place so that seems like a logical place to start. I hope this helps and I wish you pain free days!

Thanks. I didn't have bladder pain before surgery. Over the weekend, I was pretty good. Today, seems to be a dull ache again. I don't know. But thanks. I will see my gyne if if continues. Thanks for your input.
