Itchy rash at 18 days postop

Has anyone out there ever heard of a post anesthesia rash at 18 days post op....The rash covers mostly the upper portion of my body including the face.Thanks.

I did not have a rash, but had some itching. I would ask my doctor about it and see what he says. You might take an over the counter antihistamine to see if it lets up, that way you know if it is an allergy to something. I found Benadryl to be helpful. I take it at night as it has a tendancy to make one drowsy.

Itchy rash at 18 days postop

I actually got the hives about 10 days post op and it was discovered that the motrin 800 mg was the culprit. My doctor changed my pain meds and put me on steriods (benadryl was not helping) and within two days I was back to "normal" recovery!!! Good luck.
