Hello ~ I have so many questions

Hi Mrs Nansee

Welcome to Hystersisters! We are a great bunch of women who have been there & done it & are willing to share our experiences with you, offer support & send hugs when needed.

You can read through some of our experiences in Abdominal Hysterectomy Stories or you can start a new thread with a specific question and someone will be along to give you their experience. Just reading the threads other people post can answer a lot of your questions though - I wasn't brave enough to post until post op!

I think Dr's have to warn you of any possible risks involved in any surgery but it doesn't mean it will happen to you.

Good luck with your research!

Hello ~ I have so many questions

Hi! Welcome to this site. I think you will find this site very helpful as you prepare for your surgery. I just had a TAH RSO (total abdominal hysterectomy with removal of the right tube and ovary) on Nov 19th. I just turned 40 in Sept.

As a nurse, I pretty much knew all the techinal stuff for surgery and such. But this site gave me so much information that a doctor's office, surgery nurses, etc could never offer you. I got all kinds of great tips on how to have an easier recovery, what kind of stuff to expect, etc. Only women who have been through it can offer you advice such as that. My husband was very impressed on how prepared I was for this.

Read over this site and ask questions. There is no such thing as a dumb question.
