some good news and some questions

I posted yesterday about not having a bowel movememnt since hysterectomy last Wed. I ddi relief today after the dulcolax supp.
That is better. I am however having bouts of sweat day and night . I am getting drenched its uncomfortable. Doe sthis last long or a side effect from surgery? I am guessing hormonal?
Also since my pain is not controlled I am having night mares plus the sweats waking every 2-3 hours. I am able to rest early on during day just making me exhausted. Somewhat having fears of this nightime symptoms so I am staying up later to avoid it also hoping I will be sleepier if I stay up later. The only other thing is the swelling of my belly very uncomfortable almost feels like a bowling ball. I also have IC bladder condition which causes my abdomen area to swell. All so confusing.. It seems to bother incision around belly buttom very uncomfy felling. Alot of itching around incisions and belly I have many allergies skin too wondering what might be best to use? I did get antibiotics today due to low grade fever doctor made appointment for Friday.

some good news and some questions

Kelly,
I had night sweats and it was hormonal. The doc put me on estrogen and that helped. Sorry about everything else you are going through with nightmares and everything. I know this can be difficult with hormonal fluctuations, massive physical changes to our body, plus this can have a tremendous emotional impact. Any chance you can move your doc appt sooner than Friday? My suggestion is to get him to check your hormones and to give you some estrogen to see the sweats don't go away. Keep taking your temp too. Be kind to yourself.

I also had nightmares. Sometimes many in one night. I kept waking up the DH and then he would rescue me by waking me up. It was horribe. I'm not having near as many any more.

For the first few weeks I had to have prune juice and prunes everyday. It kept things working right.

Good lucky at your Doctors appointment.
