Is this even possible or have I really lost it now???

My cervix is lower. Its not very far up "there" if you know what I mean. Is my uterus really sliding down? Is that possible?

cervix prolapse

Yes, the ligaments that support your uterus can relax causing your uterus to sort of "slide" down into the vagina. I thought I had this but in fact what I had was a cystocele. My vaginal wall had a weakening in it and my bladder had pushed it's way in and I could feel it at the opening of my vagina. You can also have a rectocele which is your bowel pushing into a weakening on the posterior (back) side of your vagina. Your doctor probably already is aware of this unless it has occured after your last exam. Make sure you discuss this with him in case for some reason (gravity?) it doesn't occur during an exam. I had my vaginal hysterectomy May 20, 2002. My doctor repaired it during that surgery. Good luck with your surgery this month. All your problems will be a thing of the past.

Hi Clarisse,
A little over a year ago, I got up went to the bathroom, I no sooner was out of the bathroom and suddenly I had the urge to pee again. When I went in, I did alittle, but when I went to wipe there was a buldge. Needless to say to the phone I went, and into the doctors office. It slide back up and has not buldged again, but since today is the day everything will be removed, I will never worry about the uterus sliding again. I have not been able to where a tampon in years because of this. The uterus can really come out pretty low, my sisters boyfriend, an emerency room doctor, has seen women come in with this problem many times,
Leah
