5.5 weeks post hysterectomy: strange feeling inside vagina & swelly belly

Hi ladies - im new to this site op was 27 th aug .had every thing removed ! And a nice ten inch scar healed well but above my stomach hangs over and swelling as the day goes on ! Does this go away ? I also have a strange pain were my cervix was its hard to describe , anyone else got these problems? I know its early days other than that oh and hot flashes I'm great .much love xx JJ x

Swelly belly is normal and can last from a few weeks to a few months, depends on the person.

If you had things removed vaginally, swelling of the vagina is normal. Many of us call it feeling like a tampon is stuck in the vagina. It also can last a couple weeks to a few weeks. For me it was sometime in the 3rd month it stopped swelling when I was up too much. Laying down helps for both.

Now that the weather has cooled my hot flashes are not as bad, but still get them. Now since the nights cool off, I am back to having them in the early hours when the air is cold and I am warm under that blankets which means the covers go off until I cool down.

It may not go away. The swelling will!! Pains ate normal per sec. I get the odd pain even now 10 weeks out.
