atypical endo hyperplasia

Hi hyster sisters! What an awesome sight! How will I survive 3-4 days without it when I have my surgery 2-5? I'm 43 , have had little pain, normal but very short periods, occassional cysts on my ovaries, and currently an enlarged right ovary, and now I'm headed to the o.r.! I do have a strong breast cancer trait in my family. My pre-op is Thursday. The main topic of conversation will be to take both ovaries or just the enlarged one. Comments? My biggest concern is probably pain meds. What have they given you other sisters right after you come out of general? And then what?
ps I do have a super husband and 4 great kids. Thanks for any info-I spend hours on this sight everyday!

atypical endo hyperplasia

Hi Wendy

Immediately after surgery I was hooked up to the morphine pump and the nurse encouraged me to use it often, about every 10 minutes. The idea was to keep me as pain free as possible and it worked, though I hated being in that drug induced stupor

The pump came out the next morning and then I was offered percocet. My doctor wrote prescriptions for percocet and 600mg of motrin which hubby filled the day I went home.

I hope this helps!
