2 1/2 weeks post op with nausea and tiredness
Hi I had TAH and BSO on 08/07/09. I had a lot of adhesions and a lot of organs stuck together, plus my womb was stuck to my back. According the the surgeon the op took a lot longer as a result. The hospital where I had the Op is very incompetent and discharged me without even discussing a HRT or providing a follow up appointment. I intend to see my own GP but any advise beforehand would be welcome.
I find I have no energy and my back hurts a lot so I can't walk very much at all. On top of this I have had bouts of nausea and bowel problems. My stomach is still very sore and the prescribed 10 minute walk is just not manageable. What should I do to help myself get better?

Re: 2 1/2 weeks post op with nausea and tiredness
Actually, this all sounds quite normal. However, if you have any concerns whatsoever, call your Dr. Do not wait for an appt. If nothing else, it will help to put your mind at ease.
I have to say when I hear about these incompetent Drs and hospitals, I am so greatful that I had wonderful surgeons and a wonderful hospital and nursing staff. They made me feel like I was the only one they were treating. They answered every question and were extremely gentle and caring.
