dVH/RALH: Things I am NOT going to miss!

I'm really not going to miss the mental fatigue that has come with all the physical symptoms listed above. I feel like I'm losing a little bit of myself each day as more and more things (exercise, sex, travel, work) get put on hold or are interrupted because of pain, bleeding, that awful fullness & pressure feeling. After trying to manage with birth control and an ablation that didn't help, my surgery date can't come soon enough!

I'm not going to miss the monthly migraines,
I'm not going to miss the desparate need for chocolate when Flo is due,
I'm not going to miss the worry about getting back to the nick to change my tampons,
I'm not going miss Aunty Flo...

I travel internationally for my job. Nine to 12 hour flight segments. Finding protection in foreign countries. Enough said.

Agreed on the soiling issue. I will not miss that!

Anemia, I will not miss you.

All of the events I cancelles at the last minute because I knew I couldn't sit for more than 45 minutes at a time - opera, theater, symphony. I am looking forward to getting back out there.

Finally - sculling, my sport of choice, has been off limits for me because of the time commitment vs bathroom availability. I am looking forward to being a ROWER again in summer of 2012!

LOL! Amen to all of that! I won't miss three-week periods, changing super+ tampons every 20 minutes, rushing to the restroom before the blood gushes down my leg, needing a freaking transfusion because I'm down 4 pints out of a total of 9, feeling weak and tired all the time, not being able to have sex, people always asking, "When's it due?"

People asking "oh honey... are on your period???"

nope, not going to miss that at all!!

Well, as of 1100 this morning, I am awake on the other side! The fullness is already gone, and the pain is the same as it was on any of my not quite bad days. Had a LAVA, will say that make sure your catheter bag is emptied in a timely manner.

I will not be missing planning my vacations around my periods!!
