Guess What she hit.
I had my period -- I was told "if we waited for women to not be bleeding, some women would NEVER get surgery".
Call your dr, but I'm certain they'll go ahead.
Best wishes for your surgery and recovery!

I was starting the day of my surgery. When I saw the doctor on preop...he said he is going to go ahead with it regardless. Sometimes there is a higher risk of infection. i did get a postop infection also. Whether it was due to that i do not know.
Hope it all goes well for you!

I had my period the day of my preop and ask about it...they said it was not a problem. Mine did stop the day before surgery..(the shortest period I have had in 15 years...go figure)
Good Luck

I asked about that Thursday when I went for my consult. My doc said it was no problem, just one more assurance I wasn't pregnant. (Cha- dh had a vasectomy four years ago. Non issue there!)

A period should not make a difference. They will be getting blood all over the place anyway. I just hope they remember to pull my plug! LOL
