bleeding after surgery

ok I am scheduled for the 21st. Getting nervous, I just heard from someone at pre op that you can still get cycle if they leave your cervix and ovaries (even one). They said cervix can cause some bleeding each month. Can someone tell me if they have experienced this . Also if you have a history of cysts on ovaries which cause pain on regular basis but they are not taking that ovary will this still cause such pain each month? I am having uterus out because of many multiple fibroids.

This is similar to a question I'm dealing with right now too! Although my cervix is being removed for sure, there is still a question whether my ovaries are going.

My mom had her ovaries left in and her uterus removed (cervix also removed), and while she does not bleed, she says she can STILL tell when she would be getting her period, based on bloating, moodiness, etc. So that's my thing, because I have endometriosis- do I really want the ovaries left in if every month they will continue to produce the ovulation, or at least the symptoms thereof, and will it still cause me the pain? I also have a history of ovarian cysts...but the doctor suspects my main source of pain is due to adenomyosis, which is why she was just gonna remove the uterus and cervix. She thinks the endo is mainly in the bowel/bladder area so she was just gonna clean it up....
