when ca i take a bath?

I am into my 5th week after anterior and posterior repair with vaginal hyst. I have only read you should not take a bathe after surgery. my dr. did not give instruction on this topic. any sugestions? i am dying to soak in the tub!

I was told that I could take a bath after six weeks, but every doctor is different depending on the type of surgery. Ask your doctor and don't take that tub bath until he says it is ok.

I was cleared for a bath at 2 weeks, but definitely ask your Dr. better safe than sorry!

thank you. 5 see dr today for the first time in 4 weeks. have a bulge on each side of vagina, I am so very worried about the posterior repair. the anterior seems to have healed. have not vacuumed my floors for 3 weeks. hoping to have some restrictions lifted. i will keep it posted when i get back today
