Needing to vent

I am absolutely FURIOUS at your Dr!! There is NO, and I mean, NO excuse for this kind of behavior from a Dr. To poke his head in the door, 48 hrs after surgery and say you can go home? And the fact that you have little to no information on what he actually did to you or what was found inside of you? Oh yes, this dr would go! I realize you have to go to him for post op appt, but totally agree that as soon as he released me from care, I'd be long gone. I am so sorry you have been treated this way, it just makes me mad!

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems.

I had kind of an opposite problem. I told a friend of mine who my doctor was prior to even seeing her for the first time and the response I received was not a warm one. She had indicated that this doctor had a history of problems from these types of surgeries.

When I met my doctor I absolutely fell in love with her and she made all my worries go away. Even with the stories I had heard I opted to keep this doctor and 9 days post-op everything is going well for me.

I agree with the ladies here you should make your first post op appointment with your current doctor while you are trying to get a referral to another doctor for your next post op appointment.

I wish you the best and hope your journey gets easier.

Thank you ladies for your support.
I am healing well and now at day 9 I am starting to feel human again. I will be strong enough to face my Dr and ask exactly what happened during surgery, and then I will explain why I am going to a different Doctor!

PLEASE, help others too, please call the admin office where the Dr works i.e. his office, not the hospital, and say you want to file a complaint, do this after you find a new Dr. YOU WILL force him be more caring to others and save others from your harsh experiences. I had to do this with a Dr once, he never called me after I had tests done that required a FNA... costly too and My insurance had changed and I had to pay for half of the FNA due to this Dr note letting me know 3 months earlier.. I just happen to be getting copies of my records for my new insurance and found he should have called back 3 months before!! UGH GRRRRRRRRRR

Hi Ladies,
I am 2 weeks post-op today and just had my two week Dr appt. Got a copy of my pathology report, (as he wasn't answering my questions) and I am soooooo happy!
:woot:

I had HUGE fibroids and adenomyosis. Everything was benign and my remaining ovary and fallopian tube are perfectly healthy.
I am amazingly relieved.

Scar healing well, not on painkillers at all and feeling fantastic!

I DID IT!

Cleared for driving, cleared for walking program and some yoga! AND - I've lost 10lbs since op!!!

Hope all my sisters are healing as well as I am and feel 100% very soon! I survived the Doctor with the worst bedside manner ever - but at least he gave me my life back! Watch out world. LOL

Raven, glad to hear that things went well! I plan on asking my gyne how big my fibroids were, as he told me my uterus was "huge" when he removed it. I am still on Motrin for pain, but I am resting, and every day seems to be getting better.

Great to hear you are doing well!!

Raven - glad to hear your mind it at ease and you're healing physically too. Always great news! Keep the positive attitude. It'll come in handy down the road.
