Re: Abdominal binders

what i've been wearing instead of that awful binder thing they gave me in the hospital is something i got at Curves a while back. I think its for back support, but i've just been wearing it lower, around my abdomen.

i'm still wearing it pretty much all the time. i figure it helps protect my insides!

Re: Abdominal binders

I have been wearing my binder 24/7. Last night I tried sleeping without for the first time because it was starting to get irritating. Moving around in bed was a lot more uncomfortable so I put it back on first thing this morning. I also sleep with a pillow in between my legs. It helps keep pressure off my belly when sleeping on my side.

Re: Abdominal binders

Made it thru my first shift at work with my binder on under my jeans. Never would have made it without my binder.

Re: Abdominal binders

I have not departed without my binder since I left the hospital. Once I return back to work, I will wear a gridle for a few more months due to the nature of my job & exercising. I thought it helps with helping ur stomach get its shape back from all the swelling.

Re: Abdominal binders

I did a lot! Have heard not to as stomach muscles get weak. Last year with hyster couldn't imagine life without it on or in my purse! If you feel better sleeping in binder do it and vice-versa. When feeling better and healing you"ll start forgetting it. Happy Healing!
