terrified of sex after six weeks

We waited until I felt ready and that was 12 weeks, the first time was scary but didn't hurt just ached after. Now it is better than before so try not to worry as it gets easier.

Well I'm back here to update ladies. At 10 weeks post-op, husband and I finally had sex...or, well, he did..I was too busy keeping him in check so he didn't go to far..so a fairly clinical trial....:-( went slowly but because of anterior/posterior repairs I was much tighter at the entry level, but that was initially the only place that hurt, because of the stress on the skin/tissue. I'm sure with time it will stretch (as doc says) but might take a while. Since I am still having painful bladder issues so going too far hurt, but probably was hitting my bladder. I asked him if it felt different and he hesitated before he said..'Not really." Hmmm. So, anyway, after the first few minutes of 'trying,' we took a break. I wanted to see if I was going to be in major pain from the shock of this. ..few minutes later no pain...so went back to trial 2...a little easier this time...and he had no problem on his end...So that's all I have...Going forward I will be less stressed and worried...in other words I think it is going to be just fine...whew! Hope you are all doing well.

We finally did last night...not so scary. I asked him to give me a massage first b/c my lower back has been killing me from sitting around so much. So that kind of set the tone & gave me a chance to relax. We went slow and all was good. Anyone who's been reading this thread & is scared, just trust yourself, go slow, and don't be afraid to stop/take control. If they love us (and they should or we shouldn't be with them), they will care enough to make sure we are ok

Thank you for sharing. I thought it was just me. My hormones have been insane since the surgery and I have woken up on a few occasions having an orgasm. And yes, it was quite painful. I spoke with my doctor about it and it's better for all sex, including orgasm, wait to allow the body time to heal. However, the reason it is painful now is becuase it is "shaking" things up while they are trying to heal. I was assured this will pass.
