Anyone breaking out really bad?

I had an SAH on Feb. 7 and kept both my ovaries. I have always broken out and gotten one or two pimples around my time of the month. But this is getting ridiculous. I have about 5 pimples right now and as soon as one goes away I get more.

Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks for any info.

Anyone breaking out really bad?

poconowoman

I remember a really bad patch around the 8 week-ish mark. I was mortified but put it down to another of those weird hormonal-type things that can happen with this surgery. But I can tell you that it did go away eventually!

There have been a number of posts in the last few months ~ so why not try a forum search (click top right of this main forum page)? If nothing else, hopefully it'll put your mind at rest!

Take care!

Anyone breaking out really bad?

I am having this too with EXTREMELY oily skin. I kept my ovaries, so I am not qute sure what is going on? Puberty, perhaps?

me, too

My face also reverted back to puberty! I noticed it within the first week, but it seems to have calmed down a little now (6 weeks post-op). I had been using proactiv treatments (the one advertised on TV) once a day for several months before surgery, and after surgery, I started using it twice a day because my skin got out of control! It seems to work well for me. I, too, wondered if the face issue was related to hormones. I kept my ovaries, but maybe they were angry and decided to overreact!

my face broke out also but i thought it was because i changed skin care regimens and started using the kinerase line. maybe it was hormones because it has stopped. the best thing that worked for me was my daughters acne med called benziclin. it worked overnight.

Too funny...I have raided my 17 year olds acne meds too. Her skin is beautiful because she is on the pill. Too bad her Mom needs to keep the Proactiv account current.

Anyone breaking out really bad?

I am not so much broken out, but am having serious reactions in my skin to different things. Itchy, puffy, burning, dry skin, some blemishes... argh. I haven't used make up the last two weeks and have been using a lot of facial cleansing washes and things like that to combat the oil. Yuck. Never heard of proactive before..must google it right away!

Ha! I am on the other side of the fence ladies.....had my ovaries taken out and my face is getting dry like the sahara. Never had dry skin in my my life and always broke out at least once a month.

So.....I was prepared in case this happened. I had already gotten a bunch of samples of more "heavy duty" face creams. Been trying them out, finally found one I liked and got it, but have had to adjust my cleaning products too a little.

If we all could find a happy medium .
