Flu Shot Okay 3 weeks pre-op?

Anyone know if I can get a flu shot this week? My surgery is 3 weeks from today. I usually don't have any problems with the flu shot - have never reacted or anything.

Any idea?

I just has my pre-op clearance physical the other day (4 weeks before my surgery) and my PCP gave me a flu shot. She said that this was the time to get it before my surgery because you don't want to deal with the flu after. If you are unsure I am sure you could just call the Dr.'s office and ask.---L

Best to ask your OB GYN or your doctor before getting the flu shot just in case.
