1 week post-Op

Well I had my TVH on 5/11 and things seem to be going pretty well. I ended up in the ER on Sunday very early morning sick as a dog....but other than having a two yr old jumping on me...I think I am doing pretty good. I go in for a follow-up on the 20th and to find out what the Pathologist has to say about the results.....of course I am a little worried, there is an extremely high cancer history in my family. My Grandmother, her two sisters, and my mother all had breast cancer in their 40's. My mom's 2nd oldest sister had breast/ovarian cancer in her 30's (died 1990) and my mom's oldest brother is recovering from colon cancer. I have always heard that life is a challenge and I am just glad that I am still around to take that challenge on.....

Before I forget, Shashi, I wanted to let you know that in 1992 when I was 19yrs old I had a breast reduction and it was one of the best things I ever did in my life. I went from a triple D to a nice C size. I had mild pain for about a week but it was worth every bit. Good luck and enjoy the shopping spree afterwards!!

Glad to here you are doing well, got to give you credit...it must be difficult to recoop and take care of your children.

I know about the cancer issue. Cancer runs strong in my family too.

I go back to the doc tomorow to get the stapels removed.

Let me know how the pathology report comes out.
