Flag,

You are so right! I am only 8 days post -op and feel better than I have in years. I can breathe again! I can walk w/o becoming so fatigued from the anemia and excess blood loss.

Hi Flag, I am 6 months post op today, I lost 30lbs and women will ask me how and I tell them I had a hyst, and they all say it usually does the opposite. I am feeling better every day, I still get those weird pains in the pubic area and I assume it is the nerves still healing. I will be glad when they are, it gets painful sometimes. I am glad that you are doing well. I wish you the best. Carol

Thanks!!!!!!

These posts have been an inspiration to me as I am 3 weeks post-op and wondering if I am ever going to feel "right" again.

The pain is not bad, but the fatigue.....uuugggghhhh!!!

Keep up the positive messages for us sisters who are in the early stages of recovery. It is an inspiration....especially the weight loss stories

six month point!!!!!!!

I feel sooo good, it is unbelievable!!! It took awhile to get to that point, I think it was around the 4 1/2 month mark. I love not bleeding, being able to play with my dd everyday without feeling horrible. I now LOVE to have sex (not so much before, it hurt) I never realized that I could have such a strong orgasm . I feel like I have received my life back to me on a silver platter and I plan on enjoying each day to the fullest.
I never realized how much my period and the pain from my uterus caused me to be so weak and tired and sick. It is great to be alive !!!

If only I could get rid of my brain fog . Oh well, can't have it all, but sure is fun trying huh.

I am so glad to hear that you are doing so well at 6 months along. I am a little more than half way there and still feel very tired and in pain when I sit or stand for long periods of time. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I am so glad.

It's true. You will feel better. I had a TAH due to fibroid tumors, heavy bleeding and anemia. Now I feel great and have so much energy. I've even lost 20 pounds. Sometimes when I sneeze I get sore on my right side, but it's a much better trade off.
