five weeks post op, and also cystocele rectocele

Suddenly the discharge has doubled, not offensive though, its white, I have a neurogenic bladder, and have to self cath 4 times a day because i have spinal damage from previous spinal injury, I also have bowel probs, and am seeing specialist next week as I have difficulty evacuating. because of this I think I might be starting already to prolapse bladder already again after only five weeks, as I had a very bad week with rear end, and thought I was going to end up in ER. I take permanent colon relaxants. What a mess!! Please advise me re. bladder someone I am rather worried, and my consultant is ages away. He will be upset I guess if all his work has gone to pot.

Marilisa, you should call your Dr and get checked. Something similar happened to me 4 weeks post op. I had severe straining and constipation following the hyst and prolapse repairs and at 4 weeks felt something bulging again.My sutures started falling out too early and the rectocele repair failed, a few weeks after that the cystocele repair failed also. I am scheduled for a mesh repair in April. So if for nothing else but piece of mind you should give your Dr a call. Good luck and let me know how things go. 's

I wanted to offer some hugs. I see this is your first time to post. I'm glad you decided to join us.
I wish I knew more about this to help you. I know I was afraid my repairs hadn't held too and when the dr checked they were still just fine. I hope this will be true for you too.
You really do need to have your dr check this out for you. I'm glad you're going to be seeing a specialist this week for your other problems. I hope they can help you.
I don't know if it will help or not, but here is a great site on Pelvic Organ Prolapse. There is good information about the different kinds and might help you in deciding if yours is back.
I hope your drs will be able to help you and you'll be feeling better soon. Let us know what you find out.
