Re: Why is my body feeling like this!!??!?!?!?!!!
I still can't wrap my head around not having to deal with ALL THAT every month. I think some of my friends have gone from "Oh, you poor thing, how are you today? Let me help you carry that" to "What? You aren't going to have to deal with Flo anymore? B****!" lol

Re: Why is my body feeling like this!!??!?!?!?!!!
I know! I look at all the pads I still have and think, I am DONE with them??? How can that BE? And the going to the bathroom and finding out that I'm bleeding AGAIN all of the sudden is gone, too. It's just so darn FREEING.
I just hope my daughter doesn't have to go through all this. She is 12 and will be starting her period soon, so guess I'll keep the pads around...

Re: Why is my body feeling like this!!??!?!?!?!!!
I completely agree! I've never felt so free in my life. I have missed a lot of functions over the years because I was hemoraging so bad all the time. Now I haven't turned down one invite since I've felt better. I finally have my life back. I gave all my pads to the women at work. And I still don't miss the chance to walk down the pad isle every week when I grocery shop for a good laugh.

Re: Why is my body feeling like this?!
I am 3 weeks post op... I have I.C. and have been in and out of the ER probably 4 times since my surgery May 2, 2012. I feel like I am healing so slowly. I went for my post op and my Dr. said sorry I can't feel anything wrong, what would you like me to do... Uhm well since you are the expert this is odd. I ended up at the ER with a scan with dye and barrium (sp) to check for clots or any out of the ordinary stuff.... ( I had a bladder lift and A&P reconstruction all with mesh last year and had a blood clot, and a second surgery within days)... All my tests came back normal with the exception of post surgical swelling. Just so tired and sore. It's like standing is a chore - stretching those muscles is so painful. My Dr. said he saved a ligament from my uterus and attached it to my bladder, so maybe I feel that pulling?? I go to my primary tomorrow for a new specialist ( I have an issue with a Dr. that lets you leave his office without trying to help you).... I just hope this all ends soon, tired of feeling sick and being in and out of the ER.. I am 37 and I feel 87

Re: Why is my body feeling like this?!
I have the tired restless legg issue, but I honestly think its from laying around. Once you can exercise some it should go away. And the bladder thing sounds almost like the beginning of a bladder infection. Start drinking cranberry juice and more water if no relief call the Doc. Don't mess around with that. :h

Re: Why is my body feeling like this?!
About your restless legs: i have been on medication (Requip) for Restless Leg Syndrome for many years. After my LAVH 5 weeks ago, they got so bad even with my meds that my doctor doubled my prescription and that has helped immensely. My best friend developed restless legs after she delivered her twins by C -Section. Hers went away after a few weeks. So it may be something associated with abdominal surgery that causes that to happen for some? Sooo annoying when your doctor and staff are dismissive, isn't it?
