Aww. This is hard on them, too. Probably he was overtired or over stressed or half-asleep and not realizing what he was saying. If he's normally loving and caring, give him the benefit of the doubt-- and then tell him to stop being mean to you, lol.

Re: oh my God!!!!

I'm with Tess, he must have been half asleep and not really aware of the situation. If he's usually considerate, I'd let this one go (after I ribbed him about it, but I'm like that) and chalk it up to sleep deprivation, stress and grogginess.

Re: oh my God!!!!

Are you taking your pain meds as directed? You shouldn't be in that much pain. Call your doctor if it continues.

Re: oh my God!!!!

Oh... my... god.... Don't feel bad for him, honey. You should be the center of need right now. Sorry, wish I could be as supportive of him as the other ladies. But I just think that your needs are more important right now. Maybe have a little chat with him about sensitivity and your new reality. I'm sure that he loves you very much and will willingly come around to what you need during this rough time. Big big big hugs for you!!!!

Hi Mahre, I had a TAH too. The nurse I had for my pre-op had pretty strong words about staying on top of pain, so, while I was taking the prescription pain pill, I set my cell alarm - even at night, so I always stayed caught up. I read posts where women say they slept 12 hrs - and first I think, and you didn't have to go to the bathroom and second, weren't you in pain? Anyway, I am now just on ipubrofen, so I havent' set my alarm, but my body wakes up when it isn't comfortable - I am a long way away from a 12 hr sleep! lol!
Ya, our guys get stressed too.

Re: oh my God!!!!

I think there would have been an "accidental" ball tap as I was getting out of bed!

LMAO!!! Oh my goodness that was funny!

I am sorry your DH was like that. Mine got a little snippy from time to time, but overall he was great so I can forgive him for those times.

However, I may have to try the accidental ball tap next time he gets an attitude!
