Cramping

I had SAH/kept both ovaries, on Aug 10th and my recovery is going well. Today, I have had cramps, like period cramps. Not sure if this is normal. My period would be due tomorrow, but I wouldn't think that would be an issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

I went through the same thing! My doc said that was normal. Your body is still trying to except the way things are now! It may even happen when you are suppose to get your period again. Not as bad. I also believe I have read on here that others went through the same thing!

Since you still have your ovaries it is possible for you to feel period cramping, as well as pms if you did before. And, I think often the body has phantom pains as well, as it gets used to not having that part any more. I had weird cramps too, and my ovaries were gone.

I am 4 weeks post-opt and I am glad to hear that this is normal. I have had cramps last night and most of the day today. It has been pretty bad. I have taken some medication and I was tempted to call my doctor. I think I will wait to see how I am tomorrow.
