11 days post op - abdominal pain when starting to urinate or bowl movements

I have come to this site prior to my surgery on July 31, 2012. What I have read has helped me greatly prepare and helped to answer a lot of unknowns and questions I had.

I'm now 11 days post op from a laparoscopic hysterectomy removing my uterus and cervix. I also had an urethral sling procedure at the same time frame. I had to come home with a catheter which was remove just yesterday.

From day 1, I have been on 2 stool softeners a day and have been experience lower abdominal pain at the beginning of bowl movements. I'm definitely not constipated. Combination of orange and prune juice mix has seen to this. These same abdominal pains are also now occurring at the time I start to urinate. I've been on antibiotics from the start to prevent a UTI. From what I have read, others have pain after.

Has anyone else experienced these abdominal pains?

The rest of my day I'm pretty much pain free unless I move the wrong way or my body tells me I've done something I should not have. Resting has been the key.

I'm so glad that I went through these procedures.
