Soooo Tired!

I cleaned yesterday. Today I am so very tired . I also have lost my ability to concentrate on anything for very long. I am almost at the 4 weeks marker and feel like this will never end. I still have pain.....Will it ever stop? I miss being able to get up and workout or just being able to clean my house without pain. I am so grouchy now. I don't like anyone to around. I have to force smiles and hugs for my kids because I don't want them to think they have done anything wrong. I just need to climb out of this hole. Any suggestions? Okay I am done complaining. I hope everyone is doing well.

Soooo Tired!

Hang in there, Jen!!! I am about 1 month ahead of you, hv been bk to work since the start of my 4 th week, and all activites have resumed for 2 wks now and I feel great!!! It DOES get better!!! The crabbies come from the hormonal crap our bodies go through from the healing process and if they don't go away, and you haven't talked to your DR about possible antidepressants, maybe you want to at your last check up if things haven't gotten better with your emotions/attitude. I was on antidepressants prior to my surgery for PMDD and since I kept my ovaries, need to continue with them as I still get PMS symptoms, just not as bad, in fact had my Effexor lowered to half the dose just this past week for a trial basis to see if all is well in that decision. But keep your chin up...I was right where you are now and trust me....it DOES get better-come here to vent and accept all the lending ears/shoulders/minds you need-we are all in this together-as sisters!!! Tk care...Kathy

Soooo Tired!

Thank you. I think honestly that they should have all this stuff in a brochure before your surgery. I thought hey it shouldn't be that bad, I will be back to normal after 2 weeks. No one ever said anything about the persistent pain on my right side or the fatigue or the length of time it truely takes to recover. I think this site should be a requirement prior to surgery. I think it would have been better to at least know what it is really like compared to what the doctor thinks it should be like. I guess when it all comes down to it, I am experiencing frustration due to disappointment. Things are much easier to deal with when you know what to expect. I truely appreciate yours and everyone elses advice and support, I would be a lot worse off without it. I know it will get better, at least it better . Don't you wish we could assign dates to these things. "Okay on May 1st, all the pain will be gone and you can start exercising and only be tired at bedtime." We will have to work on that law, you think the senate will pass it? : )

Soooo Tired!

See you sound much better alrdy-joking about things. But honestly....the waiting to re-cup is the hardest part, and the fact thatone day you feel so good and then the next, you're down on the couch all day resting it off. BUT....for the magnitude of this typeof surgery, it isn't as bad as what it could be. Major surgery is a BIG deal, and since we aren't left with our chest split open or anything, we think it shouldn't take long to recup. Just rest, pay attn to your body when it tells you to take a break and you will be writing things like this yourself REAL soon!!!! Kathy
