Pain below belly button - 4 wks post

I'm wondering if anyone out there is suffering from any significant pain about an inch below the belly button. I'll be 4 wks post tomorrow and still have a very faint bruise at that location and it is still very tender to touch. I had a cold going into surgery and coughed quite a bit after - not fun! I don't feel any bulge but I guess I'm a little concerned that maybe I have a hernia or something.

I am still sore in that area. In fact, that is the only place I am still sore. I did not have a cold, nor any reason to think it is injured beyond the trauma of the retractors used during surgery.

You may want to call your doctor, but after seeing photos of how most TAH procedures are done, I am not surprised it is still sore there.

Common pain - just the way the doc opens you up. Should go away by 8-10 weeks out.

I am 3 1/2 months out and just had the same kind of pain checked out by my surgeon, the area was still tender to touch, sometimes "pinched" when I sat down or bent over. No hernia noted and he just said that it could take up to 6 months to feel better.
