At the time I first found this site, I was planning to update my will before surgery just in case. By the time I actually had surgery, I'd traded so many messages with women who'd had hysterectomies for endo cancer that I forgot to update my will. Neither the cancer nor the operation seemed like a death sentence anymore.

Whatever concerns I posted here about, I've received responses from women who've been there and done that and lived to tell the tale. Concerns about endo cancer? Check. Concerns about recovering from surgery on my own? Check. Concerns about lymph edema? Check. Concerns about having to have brachytherapy? Check. Concerns about using a dilator due to brachytherapy? Check.

My doctors may have saved my life, but HysterSisters saved my sanity.

My favorite feature is being able to communicate with women going through the same issues, The support is wonderful!!! I am 3wks post op.

The forums. It is so helpful to know I can rely on answers to many of the questions I've had since my TLH. It also makes my heart happy to help others in their time of need.

I love the closeness that it brings to each other. Whether it is an 18 yr old to a 105 yr old its like having a unique circle of friends. Whoever tells you online friends aren't real then they are mistaken

Support. Having people in my corner who have been through the same or very much similar.

I've been reading this site since the word fibroid was mentioned to me though. I've learned so much by reading your stories, it really helps to feel less scared when you know you're not alone!

I have the ipad app and that I can keep a diary of how I am feeling and then send to myself and print so I can have for my doctors appointment.

My favorite thing is the COMMUNITY of women who are sharing their experiences! Love the shared knowledge and support.
