Question - Orgasms weaker and difficult to achieve Orgasms weaker and difficult to achieve

Wow, I too can't believe this has happened to me. Very difficult to reach orgasm, and when I do it essentially lacks the contractions or if they are there they are weak and brief. Sooo disappointing. My fist anniversary will be April 1st - TAH. I am taking HRT (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone). I am physically in excellent shape. There has to be something missing that my ovaries were providing before the TAH. I am constantly researching this and have come up with nothing. I can't accept that this is just the way things will be forever after. Any information, experience, any one can provide would be very much appreciated. HELP!

Re: Orgasms weaker and difficult to achieve

Me Too! Things were OK when we were first given the go ahead for sex but as the months have gone by, my level of desire is dwindling, and achieving an orgasm is not happening. My husband feels like it's his fault, and worse yet, he's accused me of cheating on him. Like - I'm dissatisfied with him so must be getting satisfied elsewhere. It is SOO frustrating because that thought hasn't even entered my head! I'm about at wits end!

Unfortunenatly men feel we do not love or desire them when we do not respond to them the way we used to. Anyone else have the same problem?

Wow. And here I was thinking I was alone. Same issue here ladies and it sucks. The feeling starts, and then it's over before I even get to feel it. Like a train not stopping at a station! So frustrating.

Re: Orgasms weaker and difficult to achieve

I am 8 months post-op - had total hysterectomy. I miss the contractions of my uterus/cervix during orgasm.....while I can "climax" with outer stimulation, it is just not the same without the strong contractions......it's almost not worth the trouble to even try......

I too am the same... I told my doctor and he said it is mental!!!! I disagree! What are we gonna do? I am taking 4mg of estroidol. Do u think it would be ok to add natural estrogen also with this??? Willing to try anything!

Re: Orgasms weaker and difficult to achieve

I use compounded hormones e2 e3 prg and test. They have helped so much, but I agree that the length and intensity of my orgasm has changed, and that makes me so sad on top of the baby blues. I long to be as intimate with my dh as I used to be. prior to tah I was able to acheive multiple o's. now i'm lucky if i achieve a small little oh I think that is... Where did it go? feeling.

Re: Orgasms weaker and difficult to achieve

I had a hysterectomy in 2007 and had a mesh sling/anterior&posterior repair. I was able to keep one ovary. I will be having my 5th surgery soon to have my mesh removed. I have NO FEELING in my clitoral area and I have not had intercourse with my husband of 15 years for over 3 years now. I have constant pain in my pelvic region, vagina, and a sense of NUMBNESS. I was reading about testosterone injections to help in this matter. It's the testoterone that enhances our sexual desire (not estrogen) be careful with estrogen as I heard it can cause many types of cancers in women. You may want to ask your dr. for the testoterone injections : ) There has got to be a light at the end of our nightmare.

That is infuriating. Why wouldn't things be different if things have been removed? It defies logic. I hope you changed doctors cassienski13.
