Am I crazy?

My pre-op is the day before my surgery (18th of Nov) but I have questions I want answered now. I went ahead and called the Dr's office to see if either they could move my pre-op up or at least call to go over some of my ?'s. Do you think I'm being pushy in wanting questions answered more than 24 hours before my surgery?

Hi tara

No i don't think you're being pushy at all. This is your body we're talking about. 24 hrs?...wow thats really pushing it. I am having my surgery the same day as you. I went for my pre-op yesterday and feel 100% better about everything. I'd call the doc and ask to have the pre-op pushed up. If not, then by all mean yes ask him the questions. My surgeon told me to call anytime i had a question and that he'd be glad to talk with me about it. So go ahead and make that call....

Thinking of you,

Am I crazy?

No, i dont think you are being pushy at all, knowledge is power! (That is something that i learned from this site )
I have gotten so much info on this site that I havent had to call my doc but in the meantime, ask your questions here, it will help you feel a lot more calmer, then, when you talk to your doc you'll be more confident in what you want to ask them about (if you still need to ask them that is)!
It is your surgery, you need to feel as much at ease as you can be. Let us know if we can help you in any way.

Am I crazy?

You're definitely not being pushy, you have a right to ask your doc any and all questions you have. My doc told me to call him with any questions, which made me feel good. I'm sure your doc will call you back, and if he/she doesn't, you call back and tell them you need to talk to him/her ASAP!!

Best of luck to you.

THANK YOU

Thank you for all of your help. I am just starting to feel alone right now. I keep wondering if because I'm having a LAVH if I will have no pain or do I have my hopes up a little too high. I have medium pain tolerance. I keep thinking about the external (not much there with a LAVH) and keep forgetting about the inside trauma. I know it will work itself out. I'm just trying to get as much knowledge as I can before I go in.
Love you all!!!
