Aching throbbing leg still at 8 weeks

Hi everyone, hope you are all healing ok.

I am 8 weeks post op on Tuesday and was due to return to work today, but I couldn't.

I am still having a lot of discomfort and pain with my right leg that started immediately post op. It feels heavy, it aches and throbs to the extent it can keep me up all night.

My consultant doesn't speak english that well and although she has seen me three times about it, initially said it was nerve damage or scar tissue where she had to stitch very heavily resting on a vein causing problems.

I went to a party on Friday and overdid it totally, and yesterday had severe pains around the incision and this throbbing leg pain.

Has anyone else had this at all and if so what were you told was causing it?

I think DVT has been ruled out as I have no obvious redness or calf swelling.

Would appreciate it if anyone can throw any light on this?

I had a pinched nerve in my lower back a few years ago. It felt like electrical charges going down my right leg & hurt terribly. Has your dr considered that? I had to see a neurologist & have a couple of MRI's to get a diagnosis.

If your dr continues to be unhelpful, maybe you should consider seeing another dr. Best wishes, I hope that you get relief soon.
