Impatiently waiting
I had a TLH roughly 2-1/2 months ago. At my one month checkup my doctor put me on Premarin because I was experiencing some MAJOR mood swings. It seemed to do the trick - no more out of control anger, I don't cry for no reason anymore. The bad thing now, is I retain water to the point my joints constantly hurt & I get crippling panic attacks. Last one I experienced, I left work crying & gasping for air. It seems like I'm always teetering on the edge & one thing can send me over. Doctors just tell me it's a waiting game, to be patient with myself, try to stay calm but of course my life right now is hectic (we didn't know that the recovery is more than just healing wounds. My pre-op did not inform me of any chance of hormonal imbalances since my ovaries were spared.)
How long has it taken everyone to balance - or how long before my ovaries "wake up"?
At this point, I regret having surgery. I just want my life back. I don't wan't to feel like such a burden on my family. Hate feeling so fragile & unpredictable.
