Not foucused - pre op Monday

Hey Sister, krash01, Well my appt. went very well I had to be there @ 7:30am, but got there @ 7am Julie the nurse had ask me to go on an empty tummy no water no coffee. you arrive register have ID and Insurance ID, the nurse ask me what type of surgery I would be having, the date of surgery, they want to know if you are allergic to any meds, anesthesia, any thing they should be aware of, once paper work is finished, then they do blood work, they did four tubes of blood, EKG, and X-rays, they did only one chest X-ray. I asked about using deodorant, deodorant is OK to use, face moisturizer, no she said with all the mask and tape, that goes on face would be a problem with the grease, and also do not use any lotion any where at all, toe nail polish she said would be OK, and also if I had Dr's orders for day befor surgery to follow as he asked, she said it is very important. My surgery is @ 7am, but I have two be there @ 5am, She said if I have a bag that my DH, can keep it until I am in my room I will stay two nights. Julie, said that the day of surgery there will be lot more paper work and I can ask more questions. the pre -op went quick, I hope this helps some OK, take care

i will cry with you if you need me to...i can cry at the drop of a hat! lol hey i am scared to...but when i think about what i have been through, i am not gonna let nothing or no one stop me...i am TIRED of all the mess we have to go through and i am ready to ut a stop to it...i go for my pre-op tomorrow and i am toooo ready! WE GONNA BE ALL RIGHT PRECIOUS...you'll see...

Thanks for your reply. UGH all that blood work. I'm glad you asked about moisturizer, I would not have thought of that, makes since. Yeah, my daughter wanted to take me to get a pedicure this weekend before my surgery and I was wondering about the nail polish to. Thanks again...I love this site
