Just Registered

Hello - I'm so happy I found this site. I had a lapo and hysto last Thursday, the doctor thought she would be able to remove two cysts and possibly an ovary but when she got in, she found another cyst larger than my uterus, endometriosis, fibroids, an ovary adhered to my uterus, etc....she tried to free up the ovary but it bled so she had to stop. I'm 38 in June, been married for 20 years, no children. I have to have a hysterectomy and she will try to leave in one ovary so I don't go into menopause as long as it is healthy. I see her this Thurs for follow up and probably setting up the next step......she said I should have it done ASAP, as in next month or at least before the first week of May. I'm really scared. By the way, I have a fantastic doctor and my regular doctor is fantastic as well. I have to have an abdominal procedure......

Welcome to Hystersisters. It's perfectly normal to be scared right now - but the more that you read and ask questions, the less scary it will become, I hope.
