lower abd pain 8 months after hyster

I am 8 months PO from TVH,BSO,lysis of adhesions, and appendectomy. I started having right lower quad pain 3 to 4 weeks ago after trying to use a femring(suppose to insert into vagina for 3 months at a time for estrogen replacement) It didn't stay in well and I had cramping(not sure what was there to cramp ) This has caused enough pain to take prescription pain medication-it interferes with my life and work. Anyone had this I just took a week off work per dr orfers to see if rest would help-it didn't

Hi! I have not had any confirmed problems, just excessively lingering tenderness and swelling, so all I have to offer is my sympathy and a to the top of the list again.

I'd say call your DR, but it sounds like you have already, and I know how useless they can be. Perhaps a second opinion if your DR isn't helping?

I'm sorry that you are having pain this far post op. Since the week off didn't help, do be sure to give your doctor a call and let him/her know you aren't feeling better.

I haven't ever used Femring but I have read that they aren't supposed to be felt if they are inserted properly. Did you try removing it and reinserting it to position it better?

At this point are you still using Femring, or are you on some other form of estrogen? There are a lot of choices so if you don't tolerate using the Femring you could try any number of different products. Another thought is that perhaps you have new adhesions or endo. Does this pain feel like any you have experienced before?
