Period started today-surgery tomorrow

I asked at my pre asessement reg. the Period on day of Surgery and was told that this is not at all a problem.
I was told I can wear my knickers and a pad down to the Operating Theatre and once I am under Anaesethic they then put the Catheder in and all the rest of it.
You will not notice any of that
You wake up without a period.

Good to know! I just started my period today and given my 25 day cycles now I'm due to start the day before my surgery. I will be so happy to be done with them! My periods are so painful I really can't imagine the surgery hurting more!
