Good Day then Bad Day. Is this normal?

I had my surgery Tuesday, Nov. 3rd. It has been a slow steady recovery. On Wednesday I was feeling so good. Felt like I'd made a little leap in the healing process. Thursday is almost over and I've felt crappy all day long. Did I maybe over do it Wednesday or is the back and forth common?

Whatever it is, it has put a damper on my mood.

Yes, if my memory serves me correctly there were days I actually felt great after surgery.....then the next day...well..let's just say I didn't feel as great.....I learned to pace myself..........hang in there...

Re: Good Day then Bad Day. Is this normal?

Likewise, good days and bad days for me, too. On Wednesday I felt great and went for two 20 minute strolls around the neighbourhood and then on Thursday I felt absolutely dreadful and lay down all day. I assume that maybe I overdid it with the walks so today (Friday) I've restricted myself to sitting and walking around the house only and have felt OK, just tired.

Slow and steady must be the way to go :-)

Re: Good Day then Bad Day. Is this normal?

Yep very very normal. One step foward, two steps back. I have been doing this through my whole recovery as well. It wont be like this forever, even though it feels that way, pooeeeyyyy.
Take care and try not to over do it on the days that you feel good, maybe then the next day wont be so bad, and who knows maybe you can get two good days in a row wishfull thinking
